Evan and Madison Tate have built their life around family, faith, stewardship, and the land. Married for seventeen years and raising their three children — Tatum, Easton, and Wilder — they are passionate about creating a life deeply connected to nature, agriculture, and one another.

Together, they own and operate Twin Pines Ranch in Montrose, Colorado, where they practice regenerative agriculture and raise grass-fed and finished beef. As perpetual students of the land, Evan and Madison believe healthy soil, thriving ecosystems, and responsible animal husbandry are all deeply connected. Their goal is not simply to produce food and products, but to steward the land in a way that leaves it healthier for future generations.

Evan comes from deep Colorado ranching roots, with a family history centered around sustainable agriculture, education, and land stewardship around the world. The knowledge and mentorship of Evan’s parents, Gene and Gretchen, have played a foundational role in shaping the Tate family’s agricultural journey and philosophy.

Long before launching their hemp business, Evan and Madison spent their married life building businesses side by side. Evan’s background in agriculture and entrepreneurship, combined with Madison’s experience as a nurse and her love for microbiology and chemistry, naturally led them to explore the potential of hemp and plant-based wellness products.

Farming — especially hemp farming — comes with constant challenges, unpredictability, and hard work, but for the Tate family, the rewards far outweigh the difficulties. Whether caring for cattle, cultivating crops, or raising their children, they remain committed to living intentionally, working together, and honoring the responsibility of caring for both people and the land.
